Crown Molding 4 inch Manufactured with Dense Architectural Polyurethane Compound

If you are looking to add some flair to a bland ceiling or finish off a sophisticated ceiling medallion installation, a good crown molding piece is just the trick.

CM-1001 Crown Molding is a plain, 5-½” breadth crown molding that is perfect for spaces with 9’-10’ ceiling heights. It is designed wider to suit higher ceilings in such a manner that it will not be so wide that it sticks out nor will it be too narrow that it remains unnoticeable.

As with all our other molding material, it is made from dense polyurethane material.

What can you expect from CM-1001?

It has a relatively wider breadth

CM-1001 is relatively wide yet not too wide so it suits higher ceilings. Molding that is too narrow for such ceilings barely stands out while that which is too wide overshadows everything else.

It is elegant

This simple design gracefully fits into any room and is so stylishly versatile that it will blend in with all other decor pieces that are fitted into the space.

It is moisture-resistant

One of the key features of CM-1001 is that the polyurethane material withstands moisture infiltration. This makes it great for any and every room, including the exterior and other rooms that would have high humidity such as the bathroom.

It does not harbor the growth of mold or mildew

Mold and mildew need a moist environment to grow. CM-1001 does not allow any water bubbles to build up beneath the paint and will therefore not allow mold or mildew to develop.

It does not rot easily

Unlike other materials such as wood, polyurethane does not rot easily. This means that how you install CM-1001 on day 1 is exactly how it will remain eons later.

It is flexible and does not warp

CM-1001 is pliant and will adjust well to changes in weather conditions. Due to this, it will not warp or crack easily.

It is light

The polyurethane material making CM-1001 is light and easy to work with. This is however not to mean that it is not strong. It is perfectly balanced to blend the two and will be quite easy to manipulate and put up.

It is long-lasting

All these awesome qualities come together to make CM-1001 a long-term investment that will retain its sophistication and beauty through the passage of time.

It is budget-friendly

CM-1001 is pocket-friendly and will allow you to change up the molding without incurring too high an expense.

It comes pre-primed

CM-1001 comes prepared in a white primer that leaves it ready to paint and install.

Pointer: Test the paint out on a small surface of the molding before painting the whole crown molding to ensure that it blends well with the primer.

A few helpful tips as you install the molding:

Aim to purchase the molding at least 48 hours before the installation and allow them to sit in the house for that period, giving it time to acclimatize to the temperature and condition of the room.

Good preparation will help to make your work easier. Create as much space as possible to allow you to maneuver around the room with your CM-1001

Check your wall and ceiling for any vents or objects that will be in the way of your molding and figure how you will work around them before you have started.

Have a steady work surface that will allow you to clamp the molding down for making coped edges.
